The one rule that runs everything

Everything costs gas

No energy cards to draw, no mana to get stuck on. Playing a Pepemon, attacking, evolving, retreating, springing an Action card — it all comes out of one tank. Strong cards cost more. That is the whole economy, and it is surprisingly deep.

  • Your tank grows every turn — 2 gas on turn one, up to 10, refilled each turn.
  • Bank what you don't spend — one unused gas rolls over, so a quiet turn sets up a loud one.
  • Evolve for the difference — drop a Stage 2 on its Stage 1 and only pay the gap. It arrives fully healed.
  • Take five prizes to win — knock-outs pay one, the big EX / GX / V cards pay two.

Not a spreadsheet with card frames

Every Pepemon is a 3D miniature

They stomp onto their cards, wind up, hit, flinch, evolve in a column of light and dance when they win. 151 of them, each built by hand.

Runs on anything

The game watches how smoothly it is running and turns its own detail down on slower devices — then back up when there is room to spare. You can also choose for yourself, or switch on the battery saver.

  • Your progress stays put — stats, trophies, decks and an unfinished duel are saved in your browser.
  • Made to be readable — colour-blind friendly energy symbols, reduced-motion mode, full keyboard play.
  • Nothing to install — it is a web page. Close the tab and it is gone.

Questions, answered

Is it really free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy, nothing to unlock with money, and no adverts. Every card is available from the first duel.

Do I need a wallet, tokens or an account?

No, no and no. Pepemon Cards has a crypto-meme sense of humour, but it is only a card game: “gas” is the in-game resource and nothing in it is money or worth money. Online play needs a name, that is all.

What does it run on?

Any up-to-date browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on a phone, tablet or computer. Graphics adjust themselves to the device.

How long does a duel take?

Around ten minutes. Online turns are capped at 75 seconds, and single-player duels are saved automatically if you have to leave.

I have never played a card battler. Will I cope?

The tutorial takes three minutes, every card explains itself in plain words when you hover or tap it, and Easy difficulty makes honest mistakes.

Is this an official Pokémon product?

No. Pepemon Cards is an unofficial fan-made parody. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. or The Pokémon Company.
